Read More About KristinPotPie

Welcome to KristinPotPie.

In this frenetic world, keeping up with all that needs to be done and all that I hope to accomplish, there is sweet satisfaction in savoring the special little moments that give us joy. I am often asked how I do it all; family, working full-time, cooking, an active social life, writing…honestly, some days I am really tired and I truly don’t know. But what I do know is that these are the moments that actually matter and it is extremely important to me that I slow down the train so that I can experience as much of the journey as possible.

Curling up on the couch with a good book and a warm cup of tea served in an antique teacup.

Roasting a marshmallow over an outdoor fire on a crisp fall day.

Entertaining friends and family in my home or out and about exploring my beautiful city.

Strapping on one of my favorite vintage-inspired aprons and showing my two adolescent boys their way around the kitchen while cooking a big pot of soup (or a potpie!) from scratch.

These are things that give me comfort.

Finding comfort in the everyday, away from the craziness that life serves up, is delicious. And sharing it with others makes it even more enjoyable for me. As a food lover with many years experience producing special events, I will share with you recipes for comfort food, ideas for entertaining, my new-found delights, or even just experiences as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, etc.

A pot pie is much like life, filled with rich, flavorful, surprising ingredients. I hope you will be inspired to dig in with gusto and, of course, come back for seconds. :-)
