There are always so many events during the holiday season. It can sometimes be difficult to keep on top of them all and overwhelming to try and choose which ones to attend. Well, all this week on KristinPotPie I will feature several of my picks for festive holiday outings perfect for memory-making. Some will be Seattle area-only events, but hopefully you will be inspired to find something similar in your city.
This Thursday, December 1st, from 6-9 pm, all West Elm stores across the country are co-hosting, along with the craft seller’s website Etsy, a benefit Handmade Holiday Workshop and Craft Fair. Each store’s event will benefit a different local non-profit.
During the events there will be an “Etsy Mini-Market” comprised of local Etsy sellers who will set up shop and sell their handmade goods – perfect for all of your holiday shopping! See details of the local Etsy crafters below:
Seattle Etsy Mini-Market Local Sellers
- Simply Hue Designs (Art Prints)
- Elisabeth Space (Jewelry)
- Uzura (Eco-Friendly Clothing/Bags)
- sidney ann (Accessories)
- Manzanita Kids (Wood Toys)
Seattle’s event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House. There will be light refreshments while a local Etsy craft leader shows guests how to make beautiful ornaments. These ornaments will be added to the tree that the store is creating for the Ronald McDonald House.
Additionally, as part of West Elm’s focus on giving back, the store is hosting an Ornament and Gift Drive through December 4th. During this time, customers are encouraged to buy an ornament (or make one at the event on 12/1) to decorate the tree that will go to the Ronald McDonald House. You can also purchase gifts to fill the baskets around the tree. The tree, ornaments, and gifts will be delivered to the Ronald McDonald House on December 5th.
Check out your store here to see what local charity and which local Etsy artists will be in attendance. I am so excited to see you there!
