But many times we moms just have a need to feed our family right now.
This often leads to stopping at a less than desirable fast food restaurant and spending more than we truly want to on food that is just not that good. And if you have teens (boys!) like me – you know that the cost of the massive amounts of food they can eat is high (in calories and pennies!)
But what to do if you are in a hurry and want a great deal on eating out right now?
One of my newest favorite apps, Pirq, helps people discover instant dining discounts on-the-go. No pre-purchasing. No printing. Just amazing deals from 20%-50% off your TOTAL bill (food and drinks) at 150+ restaurants in the Puget Sound area.
It is very simple to use. Just three easy steps:
- Discover – open the app and the GPS will locate instant deals for you based on your current location.
- Scan – once you’ve reserved the deal on your phone, just scan the Microsoft Tag at the restaurant to activate.
- Save – redeem the scanned deal with the restaurant to save 20-50% off your total bill.
I just love saving money on eating out, but my favorite thing about this app is that while I am busy filling my belly I am also helping to feed the hungry!
Pirq donates 10% of their revenue to help fight hunger in King County. Pirq’s “Deals on Meals” program began in August and each time a customer uses the Pirq app to find a deal at more than 150 restaurants in the Puget Sound area the company donates 10% of the revenue to United Way.
Additionally, Pirq was nominated for App of the Year by TechFlash, and was recently named one of Seattle’s Hottest companies by Lead411. And just days ago it was announced on Forbes that Pirq will be offered as an exclusive benefit to Apple employees in Silicon Valley as a pre-roll-out of the app to the general public in the Bay Area.
Even more exciting is that they are about to launch (in late May) the newest version of their app making it even easier to find deals and share them with your friends! See a video preview of the updated app here and go here to download the app today!
