As I continue to celebrate Birthday Week here on KristinPotPie, I want to remind you to go enter my giveaway for two tickets to BAMignite at Bellevue Art Musuem and don’t forget to join me for a chance to win Tickets for Life at the Seattle Rep’s Theatre For Life Scavenger Hunt this Saturday (more info on this here.)

When I think about celebrating birthdays, I usually think about enjoying a nice meal. Sometimes that’s a family dinner at home, but sometimes (and mostly, in my case) it is dinner out at a nice restaurant.

The Capital Grille would normally be considered at the top of my list of “Birthday Worthy” restaurants, but with their Generous Pour event going on now, one does not have to wait for a special occasion!

Until September 2nd, for a mere $25 each, enjoy this fabulously affordable four-course meal, coupled with nine wines, and Capital Grille’s extremely attentive service, and you will feel like it’s your birthday! And it won’t break the bank!

Here’s a peek at all you will get for your pennies:

Amuse: Smoked salmon on onion pita crisp coupled with a sparkling Lunetta Rose from Trentino, Italy.

Appetizer: Pan-fried calamari and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella with Gary Farrell Chardonney, 2009, from Carneros, California and Edi Smcic, Rebula, 2008/09 from Slovenia.

Entree: Choice of Filet Mignon, Bone-in Kona Crusted Dry-aged Sirloin or Cedar Planked Salmon.

The Kona is paired with Ferrari-Carano, Mt Reserve, Cabernet 2008, from Alexander Valley, California and Falesco Assisi Rosso, Sangiovese Blend, 2009 from Umbria, Italy.

The main course is served with sauteed spinach with roasted garlic and the most decadent lobster macaroni and cheese! With huge hunks of lobster! Oh my!

Dessert: Your choice of Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake…

…or Cheesecake with fresh berries.

Both are served with Kanu Kia Oro, Chenin Blanc, 2006 from Stellenbosch, South Africa.

At $25 apiece, you can afford to grab your honey or a group of friends and just pretend it’s your birthday! (Shhh! I won’t tell!) Or just go out to celebrate because it’s a Monday…or a Tuesday… 🙂
